Video Content Creator & Editor
Love creating videos that actually teach people something useful? We're looking for someone who can turn foundation repair (yes, really) into content homeowners can understand and trust. You'll be our go-to video person: planning, filming, editing, and helping us stay visible in the age of AI. If you can learn to make technical stuff watchable and you're not afraid to get creative and learn new stuff, keep reading.
About Anchor Foundation Repair
We've been fixin' foundations in Bryan, College Station, and the Brazos Valley since 1985. But we're not your typical foundation repair company – we believe in educating homeowners, not scaring them. Our content philosophy is simple: teach people what's happening under their homes so they can make informed decisions. No fear tactics, no pressure – just honest information along with our high quality work.
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't a corporate content mill job. You'll OWN Anchor's video world: planning, creating, posting, and tracking educational videos and social content that actually help homeowners understand foundation issues. Think YouTube Shorts about why cracks happen, longer videos explaining repair methods or pricing to assist the sales process, and social content that makes foundation repair . . . dare we say it . . . interesting?
Your Day-to-Day
Own video strategy & production
From idea to upload, following our brand and our "educate, don't intimidate" approach.
Create weekly content
At least one long-form and one short-form video each week, plus social content that supports our sales team.
Write scripts & plan shoots
We have templates and systems, but we want your creative input and ownership too.
Film on-site
You'll ride along to job sites to capture real foundation work in action.
Interview our team on camera
Help our owner and estimators look and sound natural, make sense, and teach to the everyday homeowner.
Edit videos
In CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, or whatever you're fastest in – adding b-roll, graphics, and text overlays that make technical stuff easy to get.
Repurpose content
Turn long videos into Shorts, Reels, and clips for our blog and sales emails.
Publish & optimize
Upload, make thumbnails, and write titles and descriptions for each platform. (Does YouTube need different copy than Instagram? You will decide.)
Track performance
Pick the KPIs that matter, dig into the analytics, and keep improving.
Stay on top of trends & competitors
What's working on YouTube? Facebook? Should we expand into Instagram? Anything good we can "borrow" from our competition? Track and bring us the best ideas!
Keep things organized
Keep our video library and assets tidy so we can find stuff when we need it.
Collaborate with the team
You'll be trained by and work closely with our Director of Marketing/Education and make our sales/estimator crew look and sound great.
What Makes You a Good Fit
- Self-starter – you take ownership and run with it
- Clear communicator – you can take complex, technical stuff and make it simple, visual, and helpful
- Creative – you bring creative energy and film talent, and your videos teach and build trust (with a dash of entertainment)
- Personable and confident – you can get people excited about being on camera and coach them through a shoot
- Technically curious – you know the basics of audio and lighting, or you're eager to learn
- Digitally savvy – you know your way around social media, Google Workspace, and general interweb stuff
- Detail-oriented – typos in text overlays bug you as much as they bug us
- Multi-focused – you'll be paying attention to shoot quality and content quality at the same time
- Eager to learn – you're excited to learn about foundation repair (it sounds weird, but trust us, it's more interesting than you think!)
- Organized – you can juggle multiple projects, take feedback, and stay organized without losing your mind
Musts
Local
You live in Bryan/College Station or a nearby town.
Mobile
You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Job-site ready
You don't mind heat, dirt, or crawl spaces (that's where the good footage is!).
All in on Anchor
This is a full-time, in-house job, not a freelance gig. Weekend side projects? Totally fine, as long as Monday through Friday belongs to Anchor. We're not looking to hire a marketing firm or agency to do our video. We want a dedicated team member with focus on our business goals.
Bonus: Speak Spanish? Please say "sí"!
Some of our crew speaks Spanish, and being able to talk with them on job sites makes filming a lot smoother. It's not required, but it'll definitely get our attention.
What to Show Us
Examples of videos you've created or edited. Class projects, client work, TikToks you made for fun: it all counts. We want to see your vibe and style.
The Setup
35 to 40 hours/week with benefits.
This isn't a clock-in-at-8, leave-at-5 job. Get your work done well and we're good. (We get that life happens.)
Mix of in office, at home (if you have your own setup), and on location for shoots around the Brazos Valley.
$39,000 to $44,000 for entry level, with higher pay consideration for candidates with significant experience.
2 PTO days, 10 vacation days, paid holidays, and a 401(k).
Hands-on training opportunity in the They Ask, You Answer/Endless Customers approach (used by top companies nationwide), plus all the foundation repair know-how you can handle.
Fun and laid-back. We work hard but don't take ourselves too seriously.
What You Don't Need
Foundation repair knowledge
We'll teach you everything.
Tons of video experience
We'd rather train a lifelong learner who loves video.
A specific degree
If you can make engaging video, we're interested. That said, a background in film or digital media, communications, marketing, journalism, construction science, engineering, or even education could be a great fit.
Your own gear
We've got some basics, though you may use your own phone or laptop if you've already got software and tools that you prefer to use.
To Apply
Send us:
- Your resumeKeep it simple, but a little style never hurts.
- Links to your video workYouTube, Google Drive, whatever works.
- A cover letter(Or even better, a video too!) Tell us why this sounds like a good fit.
